So... I looked all of these terms up because I am so paranoid that I may not know what everyone in this class knows about technology. Now... I may be overdoing it just a little bit.
Here is what I found:
Pedagogy- The study of being a teacher or the process of teaching.
Andragogy- Self teaching (usually referring to adults); engaging adult learners with the structure of learning.
Synchronous- going at the same rate exactly together.
Asynchronous- not occurring at the same time.
These are some of the few things our teacher hopes we get out this class.

Behind the times
This is one of the most interesting classes I have ever taken. Even as we are learning new material from the class, new things are being created and constantly changing in the world around us. It is so fascinating to me that we have such great advancements in technologies where we can have business meetings in virtual worlds and employers look to our Facebook pages to see if we are possible candidates for a job position. Is it possible to catch up or is everyone always behind because it seems as though technology has an insurmountable pace?

Today's Class: 2.9.11
The reference about Facebook being like a casino was an interesting one. I had never thought of it like that. I'm not sure if everyone felt that way or if the only people who did spoke up, I still have a lot to learn about social media so until I make up my mind one way or the other I am still on the fence about it.
