Pedagogy, Andragogy, Synchronous, and Asynchronous

So... I looked all of these terms up because I am so paranoid that I may not know what everyone in this class knows about technology. Now... I may be overdoing it just a little bit.

Here is what I found:

Pedagogy- The study of being a teacher or the process of teaching.
Andragogy- Self teaching (usually referring to adults); engaging adult learners with the structure of learning.
Synchronous- going at the same rate exactly together.
Asynchronous- not occurring at the same time.

These are some of the few things our teacher hopes we get out this class.
